Siska Reece has made it her mission to share the real story of dairy farming, one filled with care, stewardship and love for both cows and community. Through her thoughtful approach to storytelling, she helps people understand what truly happens on a dairy farm and why it matters.
From spring through fall, Siska hosts dairy tours and her highly successful “Farm Camp,” where children spend two days learning about farm life, caring for animals and seeing where milk really comes from. Each summer, dozens of kids leave her farm with new knowledge and a new perspective, along with shirts that proudly read, “Ask me. I went to farm camp. Besides, Google never milked a cow.”
Beyond the farm, Siska shares her story through media interviews, community events, and social media, all with the goal of replacing misinformation with truth. Her authenticity and willingness to speak up have inspired other farmers to do the same and ensure that dairy’s real story is heard and trusted.
Siska’s dedication to connection and education embodies the spirit of the Telling Your Story Award. Her voice helps bridge the gap between farms and families across the region.
