Protein Lasagna with Cottage Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 box lasagna noodles (or no-boil sheets)

  • 2 cups cottage cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • ½ cup grated parmesan

  • 1 egg

  • 1–2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (optional)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease an 8x8 baking dish.

  2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Cook noodles according to package directions (if not using no-boil).

  4. Optional: Brown meat with salt and pepper.

  5. Layer in this order: sauce → noodles → cottage cheese mixture → meat (if using) → mozzarella. Repeat layers.

  6. Finish with mozzarella on top.

  7. Bake 35–40 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

  8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
