What's On the Horizon: Celebrate Farm-To-School Month This October!

October is National Farm-to-School Month – the perfect time for schools to explore where our food comes from and celebrate the farmers who make it possible. From spotlighting local products to inviting a farmer into your cafeteria, schools have the chance to bring agriculture to life for students while supporting local farms. Dairy West is proud to help make the celebration unforgettable!

Bring Farm-to-School month to life by hosting a kick-off celebration utilizing Dairy West's resources alongside the National Farm-to-School Toolkit, spotlighting local products (Fun fact: all school milk is local!), inviting a farmer to your school meals, taking students on a virtual dairy farm tour in your cafeteria or hosting an "Ask A Farmer" event.

Additionally, check out Dairy West's new farm-to-fridge puzzle activities, perfect for an educational station or kick-off celebration. Kids can piece together the journey of milk from the farm to their fridge, sparking curiosity and conversation. Quantities are limited and available through the materials request form below.
